Community Day began about 5 or 6 years ago during a Lanier Family Connection team meeting. The idea and mission of Community Day was to bring the community together for one day with the focus on sending as many kids back to school 100% prepared as possible.
The first Community Day was held beside the Lanier Health Department and Lanier County Primary School Gym. Over 300 people showed up that day. Since the first year we have moved to the Lanier County High School Gym and have added hair cuts and multiple vendors.
